Cookies

mfi.dk sets no tracking cookies and uses no third-party tracking. No external scripts, fonts or resources are loaded from other domains. That is why you don't see a cookie banner. The only cookie that may be set is the one remembering that you opted out of the statistics (see below).

Visitor statistics (Matomo)

We measure how the website is used with Matomo, an open-source tool we run ourselves on our own EU-based server. Matomo runs without cookies and records the pages visited and time on page, referring page or search engine, browser, operating system, device type and screen resolution, language and colour scheme, approximate location (country/city) and clicks on links and contact buttons.

• Your IP address is used only briefly to look up the approximate location and is shortened (the last two bytes are removed) before anything is stored.
• No profile of you is built across days or other websites.
• Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Raw visit data is deleted automatically after 13 months; only aggregated, anonymous figures remain.
• Data is not shared with third parties.

You can opt out of being counted in the visitor statistics. Your choice is remembered with one strictly necessary cookie (mtm_consent_removed) in your browser.

The statistics script is not loaded in your browser (e.g. because of a blocker), so you are not counted.

Server logs

Our web server automatically records technical details of each visit: IP address, time, requested page, browser type and referring page. This information is used solely for operations, troubleshooting and security, and for anonymised, aggregated visitor statistics.

• Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Log files are deleted automatically after at most 14 days.
• IP addresses are anonymised before statistics are produced.
• Data is not shared with third parties and never leaves our own EU-based server.

Email inquiries

If you write to us, we process the information you provide (name, email address and the content of your message) in order to reply and, where relevant, enter into an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). Correspondence is kept for as long as it is relevant to the dialogue or client relationship, and deleted afterwards.
